Meisha Wangerin & Joel Feldman with a very special presentation on our city's newest gem, the LYNNWOOD NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER

Meisha Wangerin serves as Site Director of the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center, a vibrant new community hub dedicated to expanding access to resources, connection, and opportunity for residents across South Snohomish and North King Counties. In this role, she leads the operations, programming, and community partnerships of the center—bringing together nonprofits, local organizations, and residents to create a welcoming space where community can gather, grow, and thrive.
With more than 15 years of leadership experience in nonprofit and higher education administration, Meisha brings deep expertise in community-centered, trauma informed, program development. Throughout her career, she has championed initiatives that uplift BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ youth, strengthen pathways to education and employment, and foster belonging across diverse communities. She is widely recognized for her collaborative leadership style, strategic vision, and commitment to turning mission into measurable community impact.
Service and volunteerism are central to Meisha’s leadership. She has dedicated more than a decade to volunteer and board leadership across the region, including serving on the Board of the nation’s largest LGBTQIA+ volunteer arts organization. She also facilitates community-building and communication workshops that focus on healing, self-advocacy, and conflict resolution in schools, community settings, and correctional facilities.
Meisha is passionate about building spaces of connection, dignity, and belonging—and is honored to help shape a stronger, more connected future for the Lynnwood community and beyond.
Joel Feldman serves as a Philanthropy Officer for Volunteers of America Western Washington, currently focused on the Capital Campaign for the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center, which opened in January of 2026.
Joel brings over 18 years of experience in development at local and national non-profit organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, the American Red Cross, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and United Way of King County. He was born and raised in the Seattle area. Before his work in the non-profit sector, Joel worked in direct mail marketing (some call it junk mail, Joel calls it opportunity mail) and started an Internet radio company in the 90s that went the way of the dot bombs.
Currently, he lives in Ballard with his 8-year-old daughter. In his free time, Joel loves going to live music, paddle boarding, and skiing.
