Description
Coaching Boys to Men (CBIM)
The high school athletes' ability to recognize and intervene to stop dating violence -- the physical, sexual and emotional aggression prevalent in some adolescent romantic relationships -- is improved with the intervention of some of the most important role models in young men's lives: their coaches. Previous violence-prevention efforts have not necessarily included coaches as partners in violence prevention but we all know coaches wield tremendous influence over their athletes. DVS will work with the coaching staff on implementation and creating opportunities for positive change both on and off the field for our athletes. After implementation the CBIM program it only takes 15 to 20 minutes per week to maintain through discussion with team members.
